advice for an intuitive wiccan.

Hello all, Im looking to see how other Wiccans/Witches feel about intuition, psychic, and or mediumship in their practice.

The reason I ask is i find this to be a very important part of my spiritual identity and am currently with a group that doesn't put much merit in it.
Theres a lot of skepticism and "we are witches why would we focus on that" talk which throws me for a loop. I don't want to leave cause iv been with this group for awhile but I'm finding it hard to relate to them. I'm kinda worried I'm going to end up as the weird witch that talks to nothing pay her no mind person in the group. Any advise, opinions, thoughts, impressions, or spiritual intuitive nudges would be appreciated.

( I would like it noted that I have done reading for others including strangers with good results so I'm thinking Im not just some rambling crazy)

It sounds like maybe that group isn't a good fit for you. If I were in your shoes I would walk away them, the last thing anyone needs is someone making them feel less than, especially when it comes to their beliefs.

I'm with Starpixie! Every Witch and Wiccan I know is psychic to a certain degree. Do these people not understand that as you practice Witchcraft/Wicca it opens up your psychic channels?? Are they really Witches - or just playing at it. (sorry - don't mean to be rude here - but really!:! )

Don't let them destroy what you have, if you stay with them it may erode your belief in yourself, so please be careful

There's also the option of being a Lone Witch... just throwing it out there... maybe a little less pressure to "fit in"

Yes, I really enjoy being a Solitary Practitioner but I'm lucky enough to have a great group very close to me that I may join for Sabbat celebrations if I wish.

The lone/solitary witch/warlock is the common model in Britain. Covens in the true sense are relatively rare. However, not unknown for solitaries to form co-operative groups - we see this a lot at Thornborough Festivals.

I personally think it's essential to build yourself spiritually. I recall building my clairvoyance back when I was in high school. I would always meditate, focus (trance), and worked on my telekinesis (psychokinesis) using a psi-wheel. By combining these techniques I would always see vague images of the future. But, ever since I stopped doing these practical skills I lost my possession to see small fragments of future events. It's something that I would like to acquire once again.

I agree with everyone else. If you don't feel comfortable or have any connection with your group why not go solitary? I don't think you need anyone else to find your identity. You have the power to decide what you want to build along the path. I am fairly new to Wicca and I haven't been seeking anyone to work with (covens). I would say SF has helped me more, but at the end of the day I decide what is best for me.

Why do you feel the need to have a group who clearly don't have similar interests as you? Are you afraid of being alone in your path?

thank you all for the kind advice, I know deep deep down its time for me to go but its not an easy thing emotionally speaking. Im glad I'm not the only person who thinks the witch without psychic development is an odd thing. hopefully I can bow out of this gracefully.

Good luck with that. Sometimes it's hard when we realize we have to let go and release that which no longer serves. But when it's done we are free to move on in our spiritual journey
