Vegan, but pets need meat!

Personally I think it's wrong to feed carnivorous pets a vegan diet.

If we are talking life for a life issue...if that pet was living in the wild, they would be killing to live. Yet I will apply my own morality and attach them to MY karmic issues by deciding they shouldn't eat meat? Hmmm

Do wild animals have karmic issues because they kill to live?

These are things that go through my head, that it's a perverse sort of human pride to attach our moral and spiritual issues to another species.

Rabbits make great companion animals, furry, loving, smart and they are vegan. Problem solved.

If a person feels strongly about the carnivore issue, perhaps the honest and moral thing to do is to keep a vegan pet.

If we stop breeding and adopting carnivores as companion animals there will be less of them to feed meat to.

For the record. I am a vegetarian, and yes I do have rabbits, but I am not in any way opposed to keeping carnivorous pets or feeding them meat.
