The dance of the starlings
I've been watching starlings - flying, gathering, swooping and enjoying the sight - just a few of them - but with fascination and wonder.
I found this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eakKfY5aHmY
Enjoy!

Its fascinating isn't it, how they seem to coordinate so well with each other, they act as a single entity. In fact the same can be said about many species, including humans, yet we still think in terms of the individual.

Oh yes Astro, I had to watch carefully at the end to catch the heart shape - thank you.
I love the way they interact, intuitively as a one and colliding with groups yet avoiding each and every other so there are no bumps. If only, us as humans, were so straightforwards!

If that's what you believe then that's what you will see.

Wow! That was beautiful, Belle. What a community consciousness those birds have, to fly like that. Thank you for posting this.
