Watching Milla in that world cup was like a breath of fresh air .
Some things you just never forget.

Another thing I'll never forget is watching Pele play for Brazil.
I dont mean videos or things on the Internet, but watching him and Brazil play live in the world cup.

Yes, always good to have a Watford player playing in a tournament. It’s a source of pride.

I knew he was in his 40's at the time,

He was definitely a star of the 1990 World Cup, scoring at the age of 38. And then scored in the 1994 World Cup at the age of 42, which I believe is the oldest player ever to score in a World Cup.

He was Brilliant wasn't he ? He brought so much energy and joy to the tournament.
In fact, they gave him an award didn't they before a game in the last world cup ? I'm sure I wrote about it at the time because I was thrilled for him.

But his performance in the world cups , are what create the most memorable moments .

WOW... And he really DID do you proud.
He played really well as did the whole team.
Very impressed with Georgia....
When they brought him off about 15 mins before end he looked "bewildered ", and the commentator actually said he was bewildered too as he had had a brilliant game .

Quick round up of yesterday.
Firstly, dreadful weather !
Portugal v czech rep . Was a bit of a shocker that Czech rep scored first as I felt they had been better in defence than in attack. But fair play to them and was deserved. The first Portugal goal came from a very unfortunate Czech own goal. One they may well reflect on with a certain degree of heartache.
And it ended 2 - 1 to Portugal.
I think for me , a draw would have been a fair result , but that's football !
Was good to see Ronaldo playing.

But the focus has GOT to be on the Turkey v Georgia game.
I mean , what a game . In dreadful torrential rain ( it almost got called off) , but end to end stuff and riveting from start to finish. And unless I missed it, there was not a single pass back to either of the keepers. Both teams just wanting to get on with it.
Turkey went ahead 2 -1 and in the last seconds the Georgian keeper was right to get into the play at the other end especially as they were getting one corner , then another . They had nothing to lose.
Then Turkey ran off with the ball in the last second and scored again into an un- manned net.
Neither team deserved to lose.
And again, a draw would have been fair.
Fabulous football.

5pm Germany v Hungary
