The web site software was built for an older version of PHP than what is it currently running on simply because older versions of PHP were not available. It was made for PHP 5.x vs PHP 5.6 which it is on now. It's still PHP 5 but there were a lot of changes to the language made around PHP 5.3-PHP 5.4.
We're also running on Cloudflare now. Maybe that's causing some issues because what happens is everyone connects to the site via Cloudflare's IP addresses. Maybe the software gets confused by that since that would mean unrelated members connecting with common IPs.
If necessary Cloudflare can be disabled. I enabled it because historically this server gets hit hard sometimes causing server outages and Cloudflare reduces server load.
