I'm a bit curious that there isnt a Magic section on this forum.

I'm writing because I have a deep interest in Servitor "magic" I messed around with it 3 years ago and got some interesting results. I've been trying to do it again but not as promising as my prior attempt. I'm trying to measure the effectiveness of my servitor. I grabbed a blood red 20 sided die and I imbued a servitor into the dice. I programmed it to roll 15 to 20 result. I'm looking for a 70% chance of it to roll a 15,16,17,18,19, or 20. So I roll the dice 20 times. I need to roll any of these numbers at least 14 times.. Each roll is equal to 5%.
So far I've tried it 3 times and the results are at 30% thats 40% off from my goal. Anyone have some suggestions on how I can do this? I've been creating my servitor as the Book "Creating Magickal Servitors" lays out for its creation.

I've seen this work in the past.. For example.. I'm sitting at a table and there is a woman sitting across from me. There is a yellow paper on the table. I asked the servitor to coerse the woman into touching th eyellow paper. 5 minutes later she just reached out of the blue and tapped the yellow paper on the table. So I have seen results in the past.. I'm just wondering what I could be doing wrong.. Do I need to charge it differently? I've been filling it up with light. Maybe I should use something else to charge it?

Possibly because it can lead to too-heated debate. (The same reason that political discussion is against forum law or lore? Although it's difficult to see how religion can be disconnected from politics.) Many practices are hierarchical and ritual-based involving rank which itself incites argument but perhaps more because some here regard "the occult" as manipulating dark forces and "evil" (a term meaningless to me but not so for many just setting out on their developmental paths). It's far broader than that obviously and I posit that many practices encouraged here are weakened versions of those found in the occult.

Same reason I suppose that there's no section on Vodou - perhaps a good thing. Or Shinto. But then these are minor interests. There are fora for these topics as there are for magick but they tend to be specialised and there's little place for comparing them in context. This is where trouble sometimes starts - new ideas/fresh 'eyes' aren't always appreciated if they offend an orthodoxy.

In my early 20s I was involved in sorcery and Hermetic practices.

What a novel question.

About 25 years ago, I learned on my own what you call Servitor "magic". That was one of the more interesting periods of my life.

I suspect why it is not mentioned and variations of it that are mentioned, is as Lorelyn has mentioned, it can lead to some really nasty debates.
