What does it mean?

I am only remembering the most important bits of the dream here and wondered if you could help me understand.

In my dream I was looking after a brown rat that I think was an adult. I was feeding it milk and taking care of it. The other part I remember is I got a job working on a tv programme. I was leaving to work there when I woke up.

Rats are voracious eaters and also very smart at figuring out a way to get what they want. Clearly, whatever the rat represents to you, you're nourishing that aspect within you. It could be nourishing your cunning or any number of other traits associated with rats. Being a TV programmer means that YOU are determining what you project and display and give your attention to, which of course is good symbology.

Go with how you felt in the dream to determine what it means for you. If you felt good, then it probably has a positive meaning. If you didn't, you'll be able to explore that by figuring out where that feeling comes from and how the parts of the dream relate to that and the things going on in your life.
