Dreams, astral projection, or OBE?

I've had several recurring dreams that I'm 'flying' through my house, going from room to room, in defensive/offensive manner...like I believe there's something there of malcontent. I feel like I'm flying, weightless, like I'm not in my body. I don't bother to turn on the lights either, but I can see well in the dark. I never find anything, but still feel like I'm in a protective mode...and that's it. Nothing more. So, I wonder if this is just a dream or if somehow I'm leaving my body at night to 'protect' my home and family from something. Has something like this ever happened to anyone?

Sounds like an OOBE in the RTZ (Real Time Zone) to me. I have very similar experiences, the RTZ is basically the zone in between the physical dimension and the astral planes. It usually looks like the physical space it overlaps but commonly has distortions. Personally I consider an OOBE that we stay in the RTZ and do not visit the astral planes an OOBE, and one that we do enter the astral planes an astral projection. That is just the way I term them though and it's not how everyone else does. So personally I would say what you are having is an OOBE but the next person might call it an astral projection. Either way I think it's safe to say what you are experiencing is not just some mentally constructed irrelevant dream.

It sounds like out of body experiences to me too.
No I haven't had the same, but early this morning, found myself accidentally on the RTZ inspecting my front porch thoroughly for hidden signs of damage! (one of THE most boring OBE's I've ever had....blah!)

More than likely you are dreaming. Our homes represent something subconscious to us and you're protecting it in the dream shows a connection to whatever you houe means to your subconscious.

It's hard to say if you were in the astral or etheric/real time zone dimension without more info. If I'm in what people call the RTZ then I can substantiate that by describing the time on the clock right before I woke up in the physical, I have even heard the exact song on the radio or what the talk radio was discussing before I even woke up to the alarm, etc... things like that. Otherwise, without something like that, it's probably not something you can really determine to be anything except a reoccuring dream until you get more out of the experience to analyze.

That definitely sounds like an OBE...check if things in your house are different like...a painting or picture might be moved somewhere or it could be in a place it used to be. Check if you can see your sleeping body or with the silver chord then you're definitely in an OBE

Thanks for all of the replies. I am a vivid dreamer, but since my awakening I've come to realize that there are many different experiences to have while 'asleep'. And I've felt different sensations in different scenarios to aid me in determining what they are. I've learned some discernment between different experiences, but this one feels a bit different.

The dream you share is that you are flying around the house in offensive and defensive manner you doubt that something is in your house, This kind of thing never happened with me may this dream mean something to your personal life.
