I see depression as a state of mind, not some incurable disease. I have battled it as well, and in my lowest times all I had to do was keep going to try to make it better. I also have ADD and dyslexia, which added to my depression as being seen as a constant failure. Again all I had to do was keep going to make it better.
I had help in psychiatry in dealing with my ADD. I refuse to solve my problems with chemical drugs. I believe they might make the problem go away, but it doesnt solve the issue that brought it out. This Dr. had a brain wavelength scanner (electrodes on the scalp recording brain activity), which was in sync with a computer program. The program split the activity into three vehicles (I usualy did spaceships in space), 1. focus 2. distraction 3. normal brain activity. The goal was to keep the focus ship ahead of the others. I have since been able to repeat the focus on my own, and can hold more complete thoughts at once since I still have the overactive brain. Turning it into a strength.
Even if you dont have this option its easy to do. Just keep your main goals focus ahead of the others. I think this is why its important humans as a whole share the same main goal. If we all strive to help others find themselves on the path toward home, we will all have a shared purpose and focus ahead of everything else. The past doesnt matter beyond the lesson. Our goal is ahead of us. We all stumble and fumble, and it could be for any reasons we dont know about up there in the spirit world. If the goal is shared and you ask forgiveness, it will be returned because thier goal will be to help you also. I believe we are set back to find the srength of things that have been overlooked because of its "status".
