A psychic i met said that i'm surrounded by negative energy, multiple people have told me this, and every time i see her i feel like the negative energy is temporarily letting me go, and i get an outburst of ecstacy. She herself seems highly religious and different, but the problem is that as soon as she told me this, she said that in order to get rid of it i need to pay 3,500 for the herbs and supplies. I have always felt a dark energy in me, and it caused me to resent my parents and drop out of school, and i do want to get rid of it. My question is, do you psychics themselves believe in what they're doing, or do they know how to manipulate you into getting money

I agree with Mind's eye that this person is scamming you. It's easy to say that a person has a negative energy around them or attached to them which then plants a seed of thought in the mind that it could be true. It's real easy to look at ones life and see a troubled time and tie what they said as being true.

I had a couple of psychics tell me the same exact thing, not once, but twice in my life. One told me that if I didn't pay for the herbs and candles, that I would lose everything and never be happy again.... She was dead wrong.... and a fraud.

Listen, I have been doing readings and studying the spiritual path for years... I'm not saying I'm Mr. know everything, but what your going through with this psychic is a very old scam. And they know how to get inside your head and make you feel very dependent on them..... I will make a prediction right now and say that this person does not even possess any real psychic abilities. If she did, she would not be running psychological scams.

I'm not saying it's not possible that a negative entity can be around or attached to a person. But it telling a person the only way to get rid of it is by paying is a scam. They are scamming you to pay the money.

OMG! $3,500! Please don't fall for that. Cripes, not too long ago on Dateline or some show like that they had camera going in on pyschics scamming people for more and more money each time they went. It was ridiculous. Please, please don't fall for this.

I too believe she is scamming you. She may be a true psychic, but that does not automatically mean that she is doing good with it. And yes, she could most certainly raise her daughter to do the same thing.

We all just wish for you to not pay money (especially a lot of money) for something that you can do for yourself. Also, there is little doubt in my mind that it would stop with one reading. It would require more to truly get rid of all of it and of course, more money. And it would go on and on and on.

I've now learned to distinguish when i can feel this negativity and when i don't, and as i keep my eyes open i feel it constantly coming in and out multiple times a day. After i see her i finally think it'll all be over because i feel reborn and out to take on the world, and then you guys tell me its all just a fraud which really just makes me want to ****ing drop dread. I hope you at least know what you're talking about to make such claims, because i've worked with one and she told me to recite prayers to remove the spirit and blow into a water filled jar and the whole jar turned pitch black right in front of my eyes, and it was pretty scarring. I do believe that some people can be born with supernatural abilities, just like how ancient cultures have shamans to mediate between the spiritual and physical world, it all sounds the same to me. Most people, even on this board, don't have a clue about negative entities. I've found about 5, all men, who are apparently plagued by them.

From what I can tell, there seem to be several kinds. Minor inconveniences who are little more advanced than ghosts who don't hang around when you do basic energetic routines. And there are demons who seem to spend their entire time thinking up new ways to screw with you.

You almost certainly don't have the latter. And the former don't need any special treatment.

My impression is that this psychic just wants your money.

Your last question about how you would get rid of a negative entity is not easy to appreciate.

Can you consider for a moment that the most negative entity that you will ever encounter is an aspect of You? If you can then be kind to it and do your best to understand what it is upset about(negative).

It sounds like having had this thought planted in your mind has indeed left you feeling and believing that you have negative energy around you.

We all have a degree of negative energy in our lives, as life happens this is natural. The thing is we can't let it hold us back or feel we are cursed and lead us in the wrong direction.

We can take control of our own thoughts and feelings, it will take some soul searching to determine where it stems from then find ways to resolve the issues that cause these feelings. If these are not in your power to resolve and are caused by other's you need to acknowledge that you have done your best to do so and let it go.

The more you can concentrate on the positive things in your life the more positive you will feel and be able to shed the negative energy adopting the desire to only focus on the positive aspects that are in your control to help you on your path.

Perhaps you are an Empath and pick up on the negative energies of those around you. Being Empathic can be confusing until one learns what it means and the proper methods to be able to deal with this. I have met others that were not aware of being Empaths and had similar problems with negative energy, when they were able to acknowledge that they were Empathic and learned the correct methods of dealing with it when they got past letting the negativity block them and could focus on how to use this gift they were able to use positive energy and develop their spiritual gifts including genuine psychic abilites.

Corkhead, further to the above I think it would be beneficial for you to join a spiritual group where you live, they can help you with this for free and most importantly because they desire to and will do so with positive energy.

I know from expereince that our backgrounds what we are taught and things we read may ring true to us at the time but opening up to new ideas and working with ways of dealing with something like this can with a positive attitude can open many many new doors for you!

You may well be plagued by negative energy, but the way this scam works, once you fork over the $3,500 there will be some other problem that is even more urgent that requires even more financial investment.

Instead of doing that, why don't you try meditation. Pema Chodron is a wonderful author who write about people plagued by bad stuff. If you live near a buddhist center in this school of Buddhism, they'll teach you to meditate for nothing and you can learn to transform that negativity yourself.
