The struggle real to settle in
Close his eyes, rest and bring
Calm and comfort to the dark
The inner child
Loses spark

Consumes his eyes

The inner child
Cannot know

How to not get caught
In the fear of the unknown
Find his hurt

Through the maze

Consumed by dark
Closed eyes that can’t be felt


Until he reaches deep inside
Finds the flame

Of his hidden realm
