Splintered

Snow in Summer, heat in Winter:
The planet's climate is splintered
By man's environmental abuse,
Neglect, destruction; and fewer
And fewer are the trees on Earth,
As forests are cleared and burning
Decimates the Amazon jungle---
Even now!

Atmospheric toxins are removed
By our tree companions who
Help to balance the atmosphere;
Without them, erosion is so near
And wind does howl, invoking fear!

Your heart is definitely in this poem, Explorer21. It's so true that our climate is splintered, much like the fractured awareness of humans who stubbornly believe we are separate from Nature. We are all one. The answer to this unholy state is in our changing our consciousness and being a partner that sees from Nature's eyes how to be a guardian and protector of the life we call Mother Earth and Gaia.

This is an important awareness, Explorer21. The passion you speak for Nature resonates. I will be going on holiday (holy days) soon to immerse in earth, wind, sky and ocean energies. In heartfelt poems the vast soul touches far beyond the human, the visible and the physical. Every word we write and read, all we care about is known clear as day inside the ocean of life. And you make a difference. It's a blessing to carry human passion for a balanced and happy world. Thank you for singing sounds of poetic justice.

Starflower, thanks for your kind and thoughtful words. Have an enjoyable holiday. Where will you be holidaying, and for how long? I feel sure that the light and love that you ARE in your Beingness will mightily bless the land you visit.

Inside I the outer tide
Destruction's greed can not hide
Our hearts on Eagles ride
Life's purpose deep and wide
Soar our hopes on natures side
Our Mother Earth has never lied
She wipes our tears till they're dried

ImthatIm, your verse is full of truth and beauty. I love your use of the word 'Eagles' because it is abundantly symbolic. I especially resonate with these words: "Soar our hopes on nature's side. Our Mother Earth has never lied; she wipes our tears till they're dried."

I have also enjoyed reading your use of words in truth.

I look forward to reading more.

I resonate.

What a compassionately beautiful accompanying verse ImthatIm! Unity rises up in those who trust their life's great purposes. Soul expression is elegant art!
