I don't know if anyone noticed but olive oil can cause a burning sensation in your throat. Olive oil produces a distinctive throat-stinging sensation because it activates a pain receptor in your throat cells called TRPA1, and there are many of these receptors in the throat. The burning sensation at the back of the throat (called pungency) is caused by Extra Virgin Olive Oil’s natural phenolic compound oleocanthal. The higher the concentration of oleacanthal in an Extra Virgin Olive Oil the stronger the pungent feeling is.
This a good thing. A very good thing Oleocanthal has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties which makes Extra Virgin Olive Oil very beneficial for human health. A good Extra Virgin Olive Oil SHOULD be pungent (and slightly bitter). It is an indication of the oil’s high quality.

The olive oil I buy is by California Ranch. It has been tested to be pure olive oil. The only olive oil I buy is extra virgin olive oil. We have a boutique olive oil store near us where you can get really fresh extra virgin olive oil. But I'm happy with the California Ranch Every Day extra virgin olive oil. I don't like the real peppery olive oils.

More on olive oil
"While dairy, like butter, contains some vitamins like A, D, E, and K, the researchers found olive oil — which is rich in heart healthy unsaturated fats — to be a healthier source of fat."

Very interesting thread. I started to take a couple of Tablespoons
of Olive Oil every morning for over six months now, i haven't missed
many mornings and an on and off long standing dry scalp problem
is completely gone for as long as I been taking it. I didn't take it for
that problem though, I just came across something that it was good
for overall health and thought I'd try it, proof of the pudding and all that.

The 2nd link observes olive oil for their extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) content. Whilst 100% EVOO might be more desirable for salads, for cooking, e.g. frying it is desirable to have a high smoking point.
'Like light olive oil, regular olive oil is made up of mostly refined olive oil, with only 15-20% virgin olive oil. As such, it has a higher smoke point and a lower price point, making it a good choice for deep frying.'

Nothing has changed, the Admin is still asking for 2-3 sentences when quoting!

My quote IS just 2 lines. However, since it was not separated from the sentence prior to the quote, you may have thought the whole thing was a quote (even though the quotation marks were only for the one sentence). I have now separated the 2 sentences.
