The witnesss or observer of course. There really is no need to conceptualize the witness or observer any other way because the witness or observer, just witnesses or observes the just is, which the witness or observer is. The witness or observer, is not seperate from what the witness or observer witnesses or observes.

By witnesss or observer, I mean the state of consciousness that is characterized by awareness without attachments or identifications with and of things that are not true/not reality, this is the ego or false sense of self-i.e the witness or observer is not the ego. The witness or observer is the part of ourselves that is able to observe reality, and observe our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and sensations that are not true, without getting caught up in them or reacting to them.
