Can we talk about Solipsism?

Solipsism is the theory that only the SELF can be known. That everything we experience is part of our own self and that the journey ends when we reach self realisation and become one with the self.

Another way of putting it is that there is no God or reality as such expect for our own real/true self. The world is a mirror image of our mind and the self.

Hinduism is from what I can tell the only religion which proposes that solipsism is true (I am not sure about what Buddhism says on the matter). Do you think that solipsism is a tenable truth?

I am torn between believing in God above and a real outer reality and believing in solipsism and only the inner reality.

If concept of self is local I'd say that's solipsism. If concept of self is non-local I'd say that's not solipsism.

Why not experience or feel God or Self inside and outside?
Be happy and uncomplicated!
That's my input, anyway - the Mind loves to trick us to be complicated.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

But solipsism is not compatible with anything else. That is the nature of its game. Either the self is all that can be known or it is not.

You seem to be resonating with animism....... which at its basic root, resonates with "Just is". God disappears from the equation leaving behind a belief system that it looks like and may end up with no beliefs. It "Just is".

There is yourself and othersself.

My input : you focus on the horizon istead of your path ! Just walk down your way and things will unfold for themselves.

In non-dual Hinduism there is only Self and it's not the self of body & mind. That Self illumines individuated minds and presents the appearance of myself and yourself.

I don't dissociate myself from the Universe. But that is also the beauty of it all : both can exist fully and accordingly.
