Not because it was a great read (i.e. hard going) but for its insights and practical exercises,

The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle - deservedly a best seller
It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

I have way too many!

*I'll text in Navy Blue when I'm speaking as a Mod. :)

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

Seth books by Jane Roberts. Just don't read them like a Bible.
Everything expressed here is what I believe. Keep that in mind when you read my post, as I kept it in mind when I wrote it. I don't parrot others. Most of my spiritual beliefs come from direct channeling guidance. I have no interest in arguing whose belief is right, and whose is wrong. I'm here just to express my opinions, and read about others'.

The first spiritual text I read, and it provided me with a good foundation for spiritual liberation along with Adyashanti's books 'Emptiness Dancing' and 'The End of Your World'.

The one that helped me the most, though, was probably 'Ordinary Freedom' by Jon Bernie (his other book, 'The Unbelievable Happiness of What Is' is also very good), whose compassionate, wise teachings I stumbled across at a very difficult and painful time in my life and which I'd highly recommend to anyone else who's having a hard time coming to terms with grief, loss, intense fear, or any other sort of emotional upheaval.
'Our feelings are safe, no matter how intense they are. It is our tensing-up around our human feelings, our rejection and refusal of them, our unconscious efforts to destroy and annihilate and purify them inside of us, our shaming of our vulnerable inner life and the smothering of the inner child, which causes so much pain and suffering - not the feelings themselves.' - Jeff Foster
