I think, generally speaking, changing ones attitude helps relieve the negative affects associated with energy blockages and is also a good way to cope with and ignore those affects.

But, essentially, attitudes are emotions, and energy blockages are energetic. Two separate things.

It follows the same principle with illness, if we dwell on illness it seems much worse than it truly is.

So, changing the way you think and your personal view of the world most likely won't magically clear up a blockage, but it has the positive affect of making the blockage seem less prominent.

I think that working directly with the energy body to remove blockages can be done in many ways.

Most blockages can be removed by a holistic approach of "clearing" or balancing the chakras and all the associated paths. This can be done "visually" or "tonally"...the effects on the energy body extend to spirit and produce the same effect. Often there is also a critical aspect that the "patient" or person must do for themselves &/or with the healer, which is to "go inside" and work on the root of the issue of the energy imbalances. To take a very simple example, if work stress is giving someone an ulcer, then they must find some way to deal with the root of their anxiety or anger or fear, in order to resolve the root of the ulcer...otherwise it will recur.

However interestingly the "reaching in with the hands" that Sangress describes is often a part of a multistep approach in dealing with more advanced imbalance and disease, more typically with energy imbalances that have resulted in actual physical blockages or problems (tumours, plaque, that sort of thing)

...often specifically where extra tissue need to be passed out of the body, or where it would be dangerous to leave plaque, where it may lodge in the arteries, heart, brain, etc.

...then for example, the healer may "reach in" to the energy body and take the contained mass or mass of particles (contained in an energy field) to, typically, the large intestine...
