The behaviour of being unkind can be attractive, pursued.

The reasons for this being so are part of the study of behaviour.

In some instances those exhibiting this behavioural trait will be aware that it is in some sense--shall we say--not highly regarded.

In order to provide some sort of justification for exercising a desire to pursue this behaviour, reasons for doing so may be presented/offered which seek to mask the actual desire--and the pleasure which exercising it provides--in perhaps a variety of different cloaks which may--repeat may--be attempts to disguise such desire.

Sounds very psychology-speak but to me the act of being kind or unkind rests with the recipient. The 'giver' may not be attempting to be either. Or may be, or does and it misfires.

I will keep telling people that they're wrong because if they're right it wouldn't matter what I say. You could throw every insult in the book at them and it wouldn't effect them negatively, Rightness is infallible. But when you think you're right when you're not, then you may become irritated.. which shows that you are wrong. To think that you are right, currently in your beliefs in opinions is folly. To you there is nothing to correct and you will remain in your own personal darkness, thinking it is light and remain blind to the True Light.
Which cannot be shaken.
