@utopiandreamchild if I am moving my energy around when I see the blue colors, what is it I should be doing with that energy? I sometimes see a faint circle or wheel turning, mostly counter clockwise, is that some kind of energy too? I have been just going with it and letting whatever happen, happen and trying to remember to go back to the breath.

Hello kpate,

That is a very nice experience you are living and welcome to SF.

The Taoist would centre this energy when at rest into the Dan tien someplace in the belly two finger tick over the navel, calling it the dragon pearl. But being blue it is most probably to high in frequency to be stored there as life energy or Chi.

Another place would be in the heart chakra.

But the color blue really calls for the third eye. If you get vertigo storing it there bring it down right away into the heart chakra. It would mean it is not pure enough to be stored in the third eye.

Have fun in moving this energy around.

It is a great gift that you have.

This is helpful, I've tried few times to meditate but I couldn't continue doing it. I don't know how to keep sticking onto it.

So what is preventing you from continuing your practice?

Do you find sitting down for 30 minutes physically uncomfortable? In which case find a sitting position that works for you. It gets easier with practice.

Or do you have too many demands on your time, such as family commitments? This is more difficult to sort out, but most of us can find 15 minutes in our day to set aside for meditation.

Or does your mind resist sitting down because you would rather be doing other things? This is the nature of the mind - it is drawn to movement and activity rather than trying to sit still and focus on one thing. But if we persist then one day we find that sitting in meditation feels like coming home.

It really comes down to your reasons and motivation for wanting to meditate.

You got that right!!!

I offer this example: Why is it we could have our head buried under the hood of a car or watching a movie...and
someone walks in and says something and we are oblivious, lol - it's because we're absorbed in something we love.
Something has captivated the mind!!!

So I say for beginners sit comfortably --place the issues of the day or memories for yrs ago when you put your foot in your mouth aside ...
and think of something fabulous!
Imagine your dream vacation to the tropic..carefree in the sun. Maybe.
Anything you want that makes you feel that smile.
Get used to taking 5- 10 minutes out each to do this, then ...
then, we move onto other things...

Many decades ago, I would meditate at night before falling asleep and I would visualize energy coming into my body from the soles of my feet up my legs and to each of my chakras. As I would visualize the energy coming up the base of my spine I would see the color red becoming more and more vivid as I visualized energy coming into my root chakra. This would change from orange to yellow to green to blue to indigo and finally violet as the energy came out of the top of my head. After doing this meditation for a while every night I would see the colors swirl like yin and yang symbols in my 3rd eye depending on what chakra I was focusing on.

So based on my experience, you could be seeing the energy from your third eye and crown chakras.

Sounds difficult - is this some yoga posture which is not commonly taught?

Well, I attempted this foot-in-the-mouth posture, and I succeeded (!), but it is certainly not conducive to comfortable meditation.
