I got the book, actually lent to me by a friend years ago. I've never read it. When I go to Scotland, which is Nr 1 on my list, I would like to visit Findhorn.

I know next to nothing about this but the book sounds interesting. I first heard of this place years ago in a movie, one of my favorite films: My Dinner With Andre. The character of Andre discusses Findhorn with his friend Wally inside the restaurant.

I’m originally from the uk and went to camp at findhorn for a while, after reading briefly about it. The founders started farming there....the soil being sandy and impossible to grow anything in, yet they persisted and were able to grow crops!

Its a very large community now, with many buildings, a main hall, shops, gardens, community housing, lots of natural wilderness, wild deer roaming....lovely cafe with delicious food.
It had a lovely peaceful vibe there as a place, well worth a visit.

It has mostly a ‘new-age’ vibe of the people and activities.

Its been over 10yrs since i was there, so imagine theyve expanded even more - they hold a lot of ‘seminars’ and courses there on a variety of subjects.
