I think it's easy to forget what the point of a spiritual life is. It's not really about us having great and powerful pleasurable experiences. It's about being a peaceful loving being. Being a light in a dark world.
I think all the religious and spiritual paths point to that in their own way but people may get lost because the ego gets involved and the spiritual pursuits end up being about self centeredness and pleasure and escapism and self importance.
Like somebody is meditating in a group and somebody is making some noise and that somebody yells at the person making noise to be quiet. I think they missed the point. The outward noise is not a problem, it's the inward noise, demanding things be a certain way.

One either seeks or they seek That which causes seeking.
Seeking keeps seeking going.
Seeking That which causes seeking ends seeking.
Don't take my word for it, as the man said, seek and ye shall find!

Thanks for everyone's sharing of their view to my question of "Whether my presence/posts an impediment in one's life?".
It seems to me that it's true that an impediment to others.

Why would your opinion impede me? It doesn't.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

That's such an interesting idea.
Maybe the mind that believes it understands what is reality, causes seeking. A delusion that something, other than what is, can be found.

I suggest that the impulse to seek is driven by Consciousness functioning through a personality/mind. Seeking begins in earnest when personality has its first glimpse of Consciousness and wants to know more. So the personality makes choices, the mind tries to understand, but it is all driven by Consciousness seeking itself in form.
And there may be times when the personality gets frustrated and wants to give up, and the mind resists having to let go of its attachment to form. We are no longer satisfied by the world but we are not yet established in Spirit. So Consciousness impels us to keep going.
And maybe one day Consciousness realises reality. And seeking ends. There is something to be found and it has always been present. But it is not the personality which realises, nor is it the mind.
Peace

Does that mean one can only find once one is dead? It seems like that to me all the time.
