How do you open your heart to your twin flame?

My twin has basically asked me to let him in and open my heart. I've been through quite a bit in my life and have had lots of painful experiences so I'm a bit closed off. My question is how do I open my heart to my twin. I trust him completely, but do not know how to go about letting him in fully. Hope this question makes sense. Thanks in advance.

Hello HerzeleidMeister !

If you want to allow someone in your heart, you have to allow yourself in first. I have been through a lot too, and we tend to say or think it just happened to us. It did, but it is also what shaped who we are today. Accepting that, is accepting yourself and forgiving yourself for letting this all happen to you, and pave a brighter tomorrow !

Even if you've been through a lot, that does not mean you'll hurt this person !

In a word like in a thousand, your past does not define who you are today. You do.

You have reached a point of awareness where you feel the greater energy behind these connections and the cosmic loving energy is tasking you to explore this. all you need do is but step..... into yourself and learn how to reconise your own inner radiance and beauty, if you find this hard to do just look at your twin flame as a reflection of self, you would not recognize his radiant beauty if you did not behold it within yourself

Just as a phisical relationship is a stepping stone to something greater so these connections are a stepping stone to something beyond our comprehension, who knows what boundless understanding we can fathom when we are open to universal loving energy, never ending

If I am completely honest this can be a rocky ride, although we love one another if there are areas in our life that we have not sorted out we keep coming back to them over and over again. So with what you have said re: the painful experiences it makes it hard to open up. I recognise this and me and mine feel this as if there are burdens that we cannot release, beliefs that we both hold that just hold us seperate from one another.

The true work is within, it is letting go of any concept of how it ought to be and loving from this space and this space alone..

I think you should take it in the pace that fit you and hopefully he can take that. we have different ways to express love and different ways to show closeness to one another. that one can trust someone else does not happen over night, it is through time and experiences together that one feel one can.

if you have had grim experiences in the past it is natural that this make you more introverted and careful. You have to figure out what went wrong in that past relationship and let it go, and not let the new one pay for someone else's sin, so to speak.

I think it’s something that has to happen organically. As in, you Do your spiritual practise and especially your shadow work, which dissolves fear, and your heart will open when it’s ready. I don’t think you should try to force it or hurry it along.
