St John of the Cross has written some beautiful descriptions of His personal Meditation/Contemplation experiences in His Stanzas, if anyone is interested.

Gotta link or should I free style it?_--_

Edit: found some sky123, figured I would post a teaser.
St. John of the cross

I entered into unknowing
Yet when I saw myself there
Without knowing where I was
I understood great things;
I shall not say what I felt
For I remained in unknowing
Transcending all knowledge.

Brilliant.
Yes. I think I am interested.

It has just dawned on me how I meditate on bible scriptures.

It is a union with Love. the Love of God. then I can make clear sense of scriptures

in my soul. I let Love lead and I Will to follow.

The eye with which I see God is the same with which God sees me.
My eye and God's eye is one eye, and one sight, and one knowledge, and one LOVE....

That sounds nice, very sweet.

Now what if a person is troubled, lost, desperate, can't feel any love?
How do you make this union of Love?
How exactly do you let love lead?

(I'm asking for clarity for others, drawn to this topic seeking help, not for myself.)

People are lost! Any further info on this? Thanks.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Awe, glad you asked.

For many years with scripture or other inspirational material I would say a prayer.
"Show me that which you desire me to see" or something similar.

It is building faith. It is building 'relationship'.
When you understand there are Higher Powers it benefits
a person to bend a knee and ask to be shown. Then loose
any and all expectation.

To a person that is lost, there is the desire to be found.
This desire will go along way.
But I can't lead another in anyway. I know only a tiny little
bit about scripture.I came into my relationship in the forests
and hills and mountains where the scriptures are written
in the trees and rivers and sky and in Hearts of people.
So I only know how to Let Go and be guided in any journey
whether it be a mountain or a book or meditation.

EDIT: There are many practices to follow.
So follow the one that draws you to it.
Then become disciplined in that practice.
So many of them lead to Love.

one can help others of course in a zillion ways. i think the best way to expand love to others is to be love yourself. others see that love and eventually want it for themselves. then they turn inward and try to learn and understand where their "no love" comes from. what is it's source. once someone sees the way, they walk it. really that is the purpose of all self caused suffering, to give one a reason to figure themselves and life out.

everyone here started down a spiritual path because they become aware of someone else who seemed to be and have more of that love and peace. we see someone else or hear of them or read about them or whatever, then we think, oh i want that too.

If that's too scary and unimaginable do it for one week, then.

that could also be said as trust the love and peace you feel and for a week, don't think about improving yourself in some way, stop judging yourself for a week, instead just love yourself and others, total acceptance of yourself and others and see how that feels. god loves you as you are, so accept that and relax and smile!
