The courage to be disliked
Life calls us in many ways
To open to truth
As many would say
It’s hard to stand tall
Be strong, in courage
And not fall
Your truth as yours
Cannot be ignored
Regardless of the scores
Of others who simply ignore
Who turn away
Who cannot say
“Yes I hear you”
I love you all the same
Those ears contained
Those minds deciding
You as your truth
Will never be abiding
Will never touch a place of love
In their hearts
Their containment deciding
“I don’t like you”
“I don’t like your truth”
The message you send
It opens my wounds
“I will always defend”
Myself
See you as the one
I don’t like
Nothing will ever be undone!
And yet I say
“Here I am”
I am open to you
As you see
As you see me
As we both are
I stand before you
And then I understand myself
I feel how you feel
I look at how you see
And the truth in me
Cannot ignore
What the truth implores
The courage to remain clear
The courage to be disliked
The courage to move as life calls
With awareness of all life..
