Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot. It is a bit dated as it was published in 1991, but it is a compendium of research/scientists that support the idea of a holographic/quantum universe and what that implies.
I remember at the end he quotes a neurologist who changed his mind based on an experience he had with a patient who described a tennis shoe up on the roof of the hospital during her NDE. This neurologist had had many patients talking of their experiences and he was annoyed and wrote them off.
Finally with this patient, he went to the third floor, looked out all the narrow windows. FInally he could see the tennis shoe through one of the windows, but not near enough to describe the hole made by the little toe nor the kind of shoe laces and how they were wrapped under the toe of the shoe. This detail could only be seen from a perspective outside the hospital, more than three floors up.
He then became very interested and conducted research from then on.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the neurologists name.
There is a lot presented about NDE and many other topics related to the holographic viewpoint of the multiverse and it's enfolding/unfolding nature.
