But like you say, sometimes these things suddenly change.

Glad you could make someone happy with it. My brother also always loved Pyrite. Weird how our preferences sometimes changes suddenly with some of us. At other times we just don't like certain colors and stones and that remains the same.
I've had the same thing with Labradorite for a long time. It always felt cold and distant to me. Now I'm much more neutral to it. It's still not my favourite and probably never will be but I can appreciate the colors and it no longer repulses me.
One stone that I still don't particularly resonate with is Obsidian. Some people are very positive about it but it just doesn't do anything for me although the knowledge of how it is formed is very interesting.

Black obsidian doesn't do much for me either. I can appreciate the rainbow and gold version though! But when rainbow, it must have purple and clear circular shapes, hihi.
Labradorite is okay, but I'm also not particularly nuts about it.
Rose quartz and amethyst were even off-putting to me for a long long time. I preferred other pink stones like morganite.
I do have it now, some amethyst too, but like you say about labra, still not favourites.

Whichever resonates best with you. There is no default really. Just what you yourself feel is 'you' and works with you.

The shop I always go to has recently got tumbled auralites in!! One of the people they purchase from experimented with that and succeeded at it. More work than normal tumbles as he intended to keep the long shape. The result is stunning!
Tomorrow I'm going to the shop on my way to family to get myself one!

I got my tumbled auralite, still long! I'm SO happy. It's gorgeous!
You can clearly see the layers and I chose one with quite a lot of cacoxenite at the top :) I'm so happy I drove by the store to get it when on the way to family. It was a quick visit, but totally worth it!

I got a couple moldavites coming in. A small slice for my daughter. I am going to buy a locket for it. It will be stored on my Crystal shelf.
I got a bigger one for me, about 7 ish grams. Its going to come stored in a little museum glass box. I'm really excited.
