Crystal for a pendulum

Yes I have worked out the yes and the no. I did this by asking very very basic questions.

But, then, I asked "will my house be sold this week". I got a huge yes. that was over a month ago and the house hasn't shifted. I'm not sure if the pendulum is reading me - and my desire. Therein is the problem.

I have a rose quartz pendulum. When I use to use it I would see sparkle lights around it. My rose quarts pendulum had a very lovely feeling to to it as well. I don't use a pendulum any more. It sure had nice energy when it was in use.

I'm going to make a home-made pendulum but I want to put one of my own crystals into it. What crystal would be best to put in a pendulum and any suggestions on how to make one would be great. Lets see, If I were you I would use either something protective like an obsidian or healing like tibetian, clear, or smoky quarts.
