Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

Waking state may be tamas, Rajas or sattva, as such a wide spectrum
If we be at Satvik level, what is the aspect of continuity of attention thus held without stupor interrupting? The interrupter being ego, rooted in mind body urges. As such, there are degrees in the Satvik state as well.
As such, once we shift at our core, in an orientation of emptiness, we are relatively less entangled in identity based doership.
In an in between sleeping and dream state, if we have one foot in the waking state and the other in the dream state, we recognise that dream images are manifest by ourselves (who else?). Yet, what is the trigger, the motivation, the unfulfilled desire? Where is it rooted?
Slipping into dream, where does the tumbler fall? Power of discrimination disappears. We accept dream images without questioning their absurdity, being both subject and object.
As for the dreamless state, is it a dream state we do not remember or a state of singularity, when there remains no-thing to remember?
Then there is samadhi, when we vaporise to become the one without a second whilst knowing the happening in an identityless state (if there is identity or time or space, it isn’t one without a second)

Show me God
All is quiet, in the still of the night,
wherein, through a trigger invisible
we wake up in bliss currents that delight,
recognising reality simple,
that boundless space around, is Gods mantle.
Both within and without, all pervading,
presence of God, is all encompassing,
within each heartbeat and as we be breathed,
aliveness of our self, scintillating,
known thus, when lower mind is vaporised.

OOPS. I hadn't realized that this was in the Poetry section. I just saw the topic in my search for "New Posts" and, since it was of interest, I posted. My bad.
In the future, I will check what is listed in the "Forum" column and it did say "Poetry" for this thread. Sorry!

Grief
Pain inevitable, suffering not,
grief the process, that secures our release,
exiting patterns of narrow thought slots,
that we flow again, like the breeze, with ease,
each life moment, as embrace-hold-release.
To make permanent the impermanent,
rekindling dream forms in heart resident,
an impossibility birthing grief,
whilst nonchalant eye dwells in contentment,
knowing time itself, a remorseless thief.

Our last thoughts
What will we do, when we run out of time
Knock of death on our door, the final chime
Which emotion flows through dying sinews
Knowing that the next breath may not renew
Regret, remorse, fear or bliss throb sublime
Does this prompt us to change our life view

Love touch tender
Love touch tender, leaves no hearts asunder
Fragrance enabling our souls expansion
Asks no questions; is itself the answer
An osmotic bliss throb percolation
Love begins, by softening attention
Aliveness innate, in playful caper
Embracing all, without hesitation
Love touch tender, leaves no hearts asunder
Devoid of anger, envy and slander
In and yet not within, life in motion
Magnetism divine, a benign thunder
Fragrance enabling our souls expansion
Love alone real, found in each vibration
Bridging chasms by power of prayer
The very purpose of Gods creation
Asks no questions; is itself the answer
Love rebinds, what the ego does sever
Let us make it our orientation
That never wavers, now and forever
An osmotic bliss throb percolation
Nestled thus in the void of cessation
The false falls away, layer by layer
Vibrant, healing light, our meditation
Bliss mist vapour, the divine vivifier
Love touch tender

Co-creating reality
“amidst world of illusions, we lose poise
hark oh hermit, to the subtle love voice”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Flowing attention nuzzles the bliss mist
Adding its own flavour to the current
Co-creating thus, as an alchemist
Ineffable joy within permanent
Resonation with any vibration
Infuses corresponding attributes
Melancholy to bliss, the sensations
Drawn by our childlike prayer resolute
Journey from ego gross to love domain
Requires us to shift our reflex instinct
Erasing from our being feral stain
Until animal urges are extinct
In co-creating our reality
Let it be bliss in continuity
