Is there any point in comparing yourself to others?

It's true though isn't it ?
And when we think 8 billion people on the planet and each and every one of us is unique and different and within reason would not fit into the same mould as anyone else . And why would we want to ???
( Although I admit I would chop my own limbs off in order to squeeze in with a young Paul Newman , Marlon Brando or Tony Curtis ... But maybe I'm strange ! ..)

Generally not, because we are all individual and unique, and we all have our own personal journeys to go on. Sometimes we’re ahead, and sometimes we’re behind. However, the occasional comparison with another can be useful when they are setting a positive example. For instance, I used to work with a girl who was much younger than me, but seemed to be very competent and inspiring for her age, and decided that this was an example I would like to emulate. Something's different when having to do with the opposite sex... I come to this thought,.. but it is not a comparison... I think the sexes are different , they can't compare.. but they can complete 'Each other'....
