I do too. The only lettuce available though was iceberg. I don't even remember romaine lettuce being available. Only bell peppers available were green. Salads were pretty boring with just iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers. The only olives were the green ones in jars stuffed with pimentos and the big black pearl ones in cans.

those of you that lived in that era are lucky, If it was 1960 I gusse I would miss computers but that is it. I'd love to have experience the late 1960s and 1970s just for the fashion and music alone .

I would miss internet banking and debit/credit cards. In those days the only was to have access to your money was to go to the bank, which was open at very odd times. Plus all payments were either in cash or by cheque. Nowadays I can log into my bank account and see everything that I need. Payments are much quicker with contactless cards and transactions online.

My friends.
Being creative on the computer
the technology that makes it possible.
Not sure about living here in New Zealand
in the 60s would have been much fun
since when I came here end of the 70s
it was about 30 years behind Europe.
At this age in my life
I do like things like heaters,
indoor toilets, washing machines.

Life seemed to be a lot simpler then it is today.
Back then, people answered their telephone.
Customer Service 'really' existed.
Claims were settled quickly.
No need for a Doctor's appointment.
People knew what 7 X 8 was.
Shoplifting was almost non-existent except in ghettos.
People respected each other, especially the Police and teachers.
People went to school to learn.

Being able to play freely no one had to fear of being taken I lived in a Village cant say what it was like in towns or cities.
Everyone looked out for each other.
playing outside everyday you could tell what the weather was going to be like
now you cant play out because of the rain which it does a lot.
kids playing together now means fighting or getting into mischief,
