Sometimes! Sometimes there are light reflections, sometimes there are dust issues. Get your camera checked and watch for "orbs" that occur in the same places on a picture !

It depends, it can be dustballs or it can be spirits. Its very hard to determine one from the other. Some orbs you can see them without a camera, those are the spirit ones.

If the orbs look round, transparent and greyish, they are dust.
An easy way to test and compare is to go into a room in your house, wait a minute or two for the air to settle after you walk in. Then take a photo in the room. After you do this, take a couple of pillows (say from a couch) that have been undisturbed for a while and smack them together in the air to shake the dust loose. Then take another photo of the same exact spot you took in your first picture. Now you should have plenty of dust orbs in the second picture. You can then compare that to other photos and you can see if they look similar or not. If they look the same, then its dust.
