Allow Me To Introduce Myself
Hi, everyone. I'm David and I'm looking forward to having great discussions with as many of you as possible. I've been interested in spirituality since becoming a believer in 1993. I've studied the Bible intensely as well as the history and sacred or quasi-sacred texts of most world religions. Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Scientology, Shintoism and Taoism.
I think it is important to learn and deeply respect the beliefs or lack of beliefs of all others. Nothing I believe or say is original, I've learned everything I know from others and hope to continue to do so as long as I live. Nothing I say is absolute infallible truth. To me it is important to acknowledge error as a part of spiritual growth. I have a very practical approach to spirituality, from the Greek word pneuma, from which comes the English pneumonia and pneumatic. An invisible active force producing visible results. Art, music, nature, tradition, culture and entertainment as well as the mental inclination of ourselves and our creator, have subtle yet powerful influences upon each of us.
It is my sincere wish that we learn from one another.
