An odd but cheerful Snow story

In Northern England we are up to our necks in snow and more to come. But today a ferry docked from the Faroe Islands with 1000 shoppers on board to hit the shops on Tyneside. Another came last week and another every week leading up to Christmas.
I bet many of you are saying "Faroes ? weezat ?" OK, its about 250 miles due north from the top of Scotland and these brave shoppers have braved an angry Arctic Ocean just to shop. So dont complain about crowded shops where you are
Really brought a smile that news story.

Tis stange goings on oop north! I should know im a northerner myslef!
I dont know why I agreed to it but my son is going on a "shopping" trip to Germany with school on Thursday, three day "cruise" to spend 5 hours in a market town???? He is soooo excited but looking like the weather may be against them!
