Meetings With Remakable Men

Hello,
Over the past 45 years I have read, and studied, and been delighted,to read the words of a Master!
G I Gurdieff, his teachings are in the narrative form, they have a storyline, somewhat like Tuesday Lobsang Rampa's books.
But unlike TLR who was a master but never recognised except by a few who were let's say ”spiritually aware,Gurdieff was a true living master, like Osho,or Jiddu Krishnamurti,or Ramakrishna, or HWL Poona,or Meyer Baba,or the Mother,or Ramana Maharishi, and let's not forget my self appointed "guru" in the 70's Yoganandaji.

G I Gurdjieff or his main disciple/acolyte a person by the name of P D Ouspensky, who is the main influence in my life,or his teachings are, were both Masters, but I like to quote Gurdjieff whenever I can,and he was as remarkable as the men he met!

One of his sayings/parables is not his,but he quoted it because he liked it I suppose!
He called it an Ancient saying!

" Only he will deserve the name of man,and can count upon anything prepared for him from Above, who has already acquired corresponding data for being able to preserve intact, both the wolf and the sheep confided to his care "

Kind Regards Billy.

Certainly a teacher..Mellon-Thomas Benedict...part of his NDE:

"So creation is God exploring God's Self through every way imaginable, in an ongoing,
infinite exploration through every one of us.
Through every piece of hair on your head, through every leaf on every tree,
through every atom, God is exploring God's Self, the great "I am".

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Everywhere I go lately, I have been seeing quotes from Ralph Waldo Emerson...online...in book stores...even in second-hand shop.

The latest one which caught my attention today was proudly displayed on a fridge magnet at my local Health Centre when I asked the universe the question "what is my destiny?"

'If we have no stillness within ourselves, life can be confusing, threatening, and completely nonsensical. This confusion has nothing to do with life; rather, it has to do with our conflict with life. Conflict isn't inherent in existence - existence is just the way it is. Conflict only comes from our relationship with life. Inner conflict only comes from our relationship with ourselves.' - Adyashanti

'Awakening happens when you stop deluding yourself into continual nonawakening. It’s very easy to use disciplines to avoid reality rather than to encounter it; a true spirituality will have you continually facing your illusions and all the ways you avoid reality. Spiritual practice may be an important means of confronting yourself, or it may be a means of avoiding yourself; it all depends on your attitude and intention.' - Adyashanti

That is the most imp reason I told you to love your enemies -
not for you to be walked on, not for you to become weak and passive..
but for you to learn that you are love.

If we can make contact with the Kingdom of God within us,
we shall be living through God the rest of our days.
