Preparing in Death
If the dead had been properly prepared that the journey to the afterlife could take place. So that the dead could live again. They viewed death as a temporary end of life, as that life would continue on in the afterlife.
Taking the view of an Afterlife where we simply temporarily end life to continue in life in a new place is that our Spirit that goes ?
Or is it our Soul that goes ?

First you have to define 'spirit' and 'soul', because they can mean the same thing or be different, according to the use the words are put to. So what, loosely, do you mean by each word?

I'm not sure what you are trying to ask.

Hello
Ok lets see, taking ancient Egypt for expample the rulers and higer classes would spend much of life itself in thought of preperations for the afterlife in one's death. IE building a pyramid to be housed in having one's riches in life around them in death.
So do we need to prepare for our leaving the body in death in some ritual or fashion or can we simply let it all flow with NO plans set in place.
( I do not mean with no will ).

Why not prepare a will?

Even if you have plans, who's to say that your plans will "go as planned"?
