Remember when.....?
Hi all....
And as it says , do you remember when? And it can be about anything !.
I'll kick off with with do you remember when young ladies had a "bottom drawer " that they used to buy things for the time that they might be married ?
I had one. I loved the romance of it all.
I packed away tea towels, towels , sheets, pillow cases etc etc ..
But in the end I got fed up and just used them LOL....
So what do you "remember when...? "...

I remember when gasoline was .28 and .32 cents a gallon...in the US.
And a 1 year old car with low miles was $1000 USD.

I remember when a packet of crisps was 2 n 6 !!!

I remember when girls were girls and boys were boys today its all taken over by woke.
my first school was an old building we had an entrance for girls and one for boys
When kids played together now all they do is fight.
When police stations were kept open now if you still have one they are locked you ring a bell wait until they answer.
if you were being chased by anyone they could kill you before they even answer

I also remember the girls and boys different entrances into school. We had to all line up in front of our own entries .
I clearly remember too we were out in ALL weathers at playtime or lunchtime , and there were Never any school closures despite the weather.
We had to trek through snowdrifts for a couple of miles and were frozen solid but sat in our class with no heating wearing our coats and gloves that were wet through.

I remember my first full time job in which I was making about $120 a week. It was a lot of money but in order to make that kind of money, I was willing to work 55 hours a week!
