All philosophical thought surrounding existentialism is just that... philosophical thought.

The question "who am I?" is not meant to have an answer that appeases the musings of a discontented mind just to placate the ego into believing it is something more or other than what it assumes itself to already be.

Of course, some will say "I am it" but that still begs the question "you are what?" until the eventual realisation happens of "it IS" with or without any "I" which identifies as being such.

Some will say "Neti Neti" their whole lives and get nowhere, until such times as they take a 180 degree reverse turn and go "Iti Iti"....All Non Duality and Duality TOO...and in that one fully encompassing instant, there is no Self and no separation.

Well, if you didn't think, I would be worried, because you need the thinker to be alive, haha...

Beautiful.
Ever thought about contributing to the poetry section?
I'll check to see if I missed anything.

Ha, the fish resting under the wave, I think you said...

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

What is meant by the thinker? There is a difference between thinking and that which observes thinking.

Thoughts come and go, and they are not necessary for life to be present.

Consciousness, or the witness, observes the coming and going of thoughts. Consciousness remains untouched by the presence or absence of thinking.

Peace.

Getting caught by the thinker = misery...my cat doesn't think, he just watches and he's always happy and loved, he is enlightened....he taught me alot over the years without me even realising it

The book I'm reading talks about the Knower....not the Thinker.
I like that...we have the Knower inside us. Be still.

The knower is nameless, there is no tangibility to the knower....freedom from what would appear to be a crazy world! Don't believe it
