Question Best Natural Remedies for Anxiety

I have anxiety pretty badly and I'm wondering what the best natural remedies are for anxiety? It can be tea, food, spices or anything that could help me.

Thank you. Lately, I've been dealing with a lot of stress from PTSD and I'm looking for anything that will relax my anxiety a bit. I'm tired of relying on medication for it. Thank you!

Flower essence remedies are really powerful healers for fear and anxiety. There are three main producers of flower essence remedies. Bach Flower remedies in the UK, Bush Flower remedies in Australia and FES Flower remedies in America. Between them they produce hundreds of remedies and finding the right one is tricky. It takes a deep sense of self diagnosis. I would study their remedies online and try to find the ones suitable for you. They all produce books describing their remedies too.

I never saw this thread...Honza - you are exactly correct.
It is astounding how a few drops on your tongue of Flower Essences can take care of anxiety and so many other things!!!
And this is coming from a past skeptic!

When my daughter was a little girl her sensitivity to noise was quite profound. She would have full-blown panic attacks during thunderstorms. She would start to get anxious at faint rumblings. She would wake us up in the middle of the night hysterically sobbing because of a loud summer thunderstorm. Bach had come out with the Rescue Remedy Pastilles and I started giving them to her when there was a thunderstorm. Over time -- months later, I realized we had had a very loud thunderstorm that night (woke me up) and she slept through it. Now she's perfectly fine with the noise. Our chocolate lab had a thunder phobia just like my daughter. I started giving her a couple of the pastilles and she stopped being afraid of them too. My current dog, is a malinois mix and she's on Trazadone for her anxiety but she still gets quite anxious and is inconsolable during thunderstorms too. She wouldn't take the pastilles when I gave them to her so I resorted to pilling her myself. They're working. We're still at the stage where she's getting anxious but she'll self-soothe quickly and go behind the couch and lay up against the brick wall and fall asleep. Rescue Remedy is a powerful flower remedy.

Some herbs have mild sedative that has super calming effects on both the body and mind. Chamomile herbs and lemon balm are very common herbs that help your body to reduce anxiety and induces sleep. Exercise is also helpful, doing yoga and meditation while listening to anikiko music nutrition has a relaxation effect that helps you to reduce your anxiety and stress.

You might look into Ashwagandha. One of its purported benefits is to calm the mind. I have only just recently started taking it. I have to say it's one of the few natural remedies that I've taken where I can actually feel a direct effect. I'm still not convinced it's beneficial for all of the things people take it for (the list is quite long), but for me the focus, mind-centering benefits are definitely there.

I second honza's post.
I've tried Bach's ''rescue remedy'' in the past and i can tell that it does great job.(no side effects).

It's strong against anxiety and panic attacks, and you can use it as long as you want.(it's a mixture of flower remedies).

EFT, CBD oil, Hydration (at least 2.5 liters of water per day), cut processed foods, alcohol, caffeine, and chocolate. Could try going to raw vegan foods, and using a process of elimination diet from there. That is the only time I would ever recommend a 100% raw vegan diet if only for a little while. I say raw foods because when I came back to cooked after a few years raw, even steamed veg brought on anxiety, and depression. An odd thing I know, but I have seen others in that community years ago that, well one lady, her Schizophrenia, completely healed. I'd go back to all raw, and it was gone, I came back for balance in other area's.

Corn Starch, potatoes, cooked corn, and a few other foods cause me to have anxiety as well. Just like some foods give me immediate depression.

Walk into an Apothecary store loaded with Essential Oils, and try any that present themselves to you - you don't have to know what they are for, just get your sniffer ready, and use coffee grinds to rebalance your nasal passage. If you find a particular oil pleases you at that time and moment, take it home, try a diffuser, wear it as perfume with a carrier oil, have a diffuser near bed, in the car, on a pendant that you can wear.

What works for me, may not work for you, and sometimes what worked for me, no longer does; Lavender is my current go to. Fennel. Tannsie, Red Mandarin (when I looked into them after I'd bought them, I found some are natural sedatives)

Try some deep breathing exercises. Calming music. Some Grounding skills that work for you..

Most underrated comment . I could tell you know what you’re talking about for sure . All of these things you have listed have been apart of my regime to help prevent and help calm my anxiety by my own trial and error . All of these I can say with full confidence work and is extremely good advice . Love this 🥰.
