affirmation promise to self x

I often think we are so busy looking after others in our lives that soemtimes we forget we are just as important, so i thought i'd share this affirmation promise to self that i wrote about 1-2 years ago, I hope you like it :)


I promise to smile when I see you

I shall not judge you when you make a mistake,

I shalll not punish you or put you down.

Nor will I call you silly names, I vow to listen to you when you call me

To never to ignore your needs, to remember your importance in my day to day life,

I promise to consider you as much as I consider others,

To put you first at times when I need too.

I promise to view you through an angels eyes and see the uniqueness you possess

I promise to tell you that you are a beautiful goddess every day,

I promise to enjoy my life with you as much as I do with others,

I promise to care for you,

and to nuture your inner child should it ever cry out

I promise to trust in you, and to have faith that you can do it

To myself..

................my body and my spirit...

I promise you all of this

But it's also important to live those words rather than just say them.

thank you very much for this, I believe I really needed to read this, it is simple and beautiful and I've often forgotten about treating Self kindly....especially the part about being there for Self when the Inner child cries out...I welled up a bit there - guess that's a spot to address in tonight's meditation....
