that's not a really good example. Weather I love cheese and you hate it. It's still cheese. All it is, is a matter of opinion. But when you have a dog..... It's a dog. If you call that dog a fish, your wrong.

But I cannot tell someone they are wrong for their beliefs. We should all really respect each others views.

I do agree with you. But when does a belief and what can be proven meet? Like the example I used with the dog and a fish. A dog and a fish are 2 totally obvious different things. If you were walking your dog, and you met someone who insisted your dog was indeed a fish, could you take that person seriously even if they truly believed what they were telling you?

But, if you want to use belief, you have to suspend logic.

On the material plane, the objects only seem to be solid. And i guess no one does believe that a fish can be walked on a dry land, just as you would walk a dog.

Im going to bend the rules, a bit, and prove to you that the Dog is a Fish!
Here is the birth certificate of that dog, it clearly states that this dog, at it's birth, has been named fish.

But a fish is a fish. A dog is a dog. That's the logic. When you look at something like a spiritual belief. Material logic does not apply. Spiritual beliefs are very personal and individual emotional feeling. I have personally had spiritual experiences I tried to apply logic too but it couldn't be done. But that's what makes that experience special and spiritual.

Unfortunately we tend to hold onto what we believe at the expense of the truth, and dismiss logic when it contradicts what we believe. Not saying everything is logical, just that flat earth contradicts everything we observe in reality.

I guess we can pretend the earth is flat. It still is what is what it is. But when we talk spiritual, it's not physical, it's spiritual. The physical earth is proven and obviously round. The spiritual world takes on a different mindset.
To my knowledge I really don't think people who believe the earth is flat is thinking of that theory are thinking of it spiritual.

Typically they believe the world is physically flat. To say , 'but spiritually, something something something it is flat' is beyond sensibility.

I wasn't sure if we were talking physical or some other trending belief. So I mentioned both. You would be amazed how many people go back and forth in order to prove there point.
