The Paranormal World and Drinking

I know so many that deal with the world of the paranormal that sadly too drink too much. I know some that every time they go on an investigation or a clearing they go to a bar and have a fair few. This shuts that door down for a bit but at a huge cost to the body.

It is rare on rare for me to go there as I spent 33 years in a relationship with an alcoholic and I well know that is not the path to take in life. Yet one glass of white wine led to another and another having 3/4 of the bottle to me. WOW I slept like a log but today there is that "fog" around me not a hang over but that what did I miss "foggy" feeling. As a Medium and Psychic I know well that balance is key in all things, and that for me there is no real down time without the drink shutting that door I do wonder the next day on what I missed. Was I to miss something ?

Does anyone else have this kind of relationship with how they shut down, that is not addicted to the drink but man if one had an addictive personality one so could turn to it for down time way too often ? Was I blessed with the EX that had such addictions so that I never took that path ?

I have always wondered when the rare on rare occasions comes where I find a drink if it is a pre planned event in the path so that I do miss something.

They were using the occasion as an excuse to drink. It had nothing to do with the paranormal. It was strictly a social drinking occasion. Nothing more nothing less.

Yes. This is why I don't drink often, and when I do, it's always to excess. I only do that a few times a month though.
