a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole."

Jesus is shown as advocating for the equality of all souls, but not the equality of outcome anywhere.

His, give to Caesar, shows his respect for the hierarchical system that was in place then, as now.

Jesus believed in social programs for the poor etc. but Jesus was not what one would call a socialist.

Jesus was more like a Canadian than an American.

either way, jesus was not a socialist to me.

according to the web, socialists believe making, moving, and trading wealth should be owned or controlled by the workers
jesus was against holding personal wealth i think

Jesus is the Messianic King, not the limited King for the Jews. If you remember, his death sentence was about sedition.

You are right about Socialism..... and Jesus was not for that form of Government but was interested in only that of a Theocracy.

How is a person of another religion appearing invisible? You mean when they don't show / express their religion?

Some will read this passage and argue that were Jesus alive today he would be a socialist, and still others will argue that he would be an advocate for socialism.

What do you think?
I really don't think a lot of verses in the bible we're literal. But honestly, I think the people who put the bible together we're a mix of people with different ideas. But if you take the bible litterly it says (long story short) follow God and I'll take care of you, if you don't follow you'll be punished sounds Communist.

That's not just a thought, but a fact!
Biblical studies show there are different authors and writing styles.

Hallow... this is very true. In fact, communism and religious conservatism/fascism are extremely similar. They both have very clear ideas about where one's loyalties must be, how one should act, what kind of sexuality one must have, what role one must have in society, etc. Usually led by some strong man figure and resting on a pyramid structure. Both systems are examples of Totalitarian Order.

the bible isn't all that bad it has a lot of good things about it. But there is a bottom line. That's follow God and live by his guidelines. That's the bible. That's why I am not a religious person. I do believe in God, but not the church, the bible is the church. The church just wanted control and found a way to control superstitious people of the time. To me christ is a loving and caring God not a controlling one.

If you look at the two creation accounts, the writers of those two accounts appear to have completely different belief systems. If you take those accounts and look at them in that perspective, it looks like opinions are being recorded: not absolute fact and if that is the case, then it 'makes sense'.
