A Changing World

Since the COVID 19, the world in some ways has changed. The knock on effect for many of us has changed us completely.

Yet I have a feeling all this is necessary for a final place to appear or occur. With the locusts swarming in many parts of the world, strange lighting occurring also in China and other places, it seems the spiritual has a great affect on the physical world.

To what end, well to place us all in a position to evolve in a spiritual sense, something which has been stagnated for many of us, by worldly ways, and the affect of the physical environment on our own well being.

Hi ;)

It certainly is strange times, as strange as I have ever witnessed, but I dare say in times past that the same was said when the world wars started and such likes .

I have an understanding of things cannot be any different from as they are so it's complexed and simple at the same time when trying to work out what it's all about and for reasons why life is at it is .

There definitely seems to be a balancing act in place where energies seem to address the imbalance for use of a better word .

Sometimes there needs war before peace can be, but peace doesn't seem last forever does it .

So within the forever changing world there always seems to be something to create a ripple in a still pond .

Change from Covid resounds because it's been abrupt but from what I recall from history it's little different from other times when pestilence has struck. The many wars have wrought change, likewise political upheavals.
Perhaps the big change (that facilitated Covid) was international movement becoming so easy - starting probably in the 1950s. But for that, many countries including the UK (which is an island) could have practised containment.

From the human viewpoint, the world has always been in flux.

The last thing we would want is for the world to stay the same. And if we could where would we choose? When was anything any better?

Why should 'a final place appear or occur'? There are no grounds to believe that any 'Armageddon' should take place as something planned or willed. That wouldn't be 'development'.

Locusts have been swarming for centuries, lightning takes on many forms.
Catastrophes, both natural and man-made have destroyed habitats and many lives, we can't really want to believe that these are in any way 'spiritual'. When countries go to war 'God' isn't on anyone's side.

The world is constantly becoming a better place, all those voices issuing from their dark dens of dogma and odd sense of justice refuse to see this.
Occasionally something comes along which overwhelms, but that also passes and we move on.

It's called evolution.

I've heard people talk about this ''change'' or ''reset'' but I've noticed it's becoming a bit of a code word for Marxist ideals.

Busby above me here mentions the decline of nature and wildlife habitat. There's a lot of people that think capitalism is ''bad'' for the environment, but what they may forget is that wildlife management/parks and species' protection in many places depend on income from tourists. U.S. parks, Costa Rica's rainforests, and multiple African countries are able to protect nature thanks to tourists. That means people catching a plane, sleeping in hotels, buying local goods from the shops, paying for guides, etc. Without tourists it becomes exceedingly hard for those people to make a living and they can't hold up their hands to the government ad infinitum. We need a functioning economy and we need people to consume to keep the world safe and prosperous. It's been shown over and over again. Sure, we can consume more sensibly but changing the entire system isn't going to improve the world.

Basically, most of our institutions - the socially organized provision of human need - are exhausted, obsolete, dysfunctional, and corrupted. They need to change, be supplanted, or greatly reformed because in the present context they are limited, limiting, and now largely self-serving or destructive, even if at one time they did serve a constructive necessary purpose. This applies to religious, economic, justice, educational, and especially the dominant unquestioned ethos of the current milieu: commercialism, as a force of social organization, from which all other institutions have become (whether consciously or unconsciously) subordinate and in many cases subservient.

This is why a more conscious spiritual culture needs to emerge - vs. desire-mind or ego-mind based.

Change usually starts at the smallest level; in the body it starts on a cellular level, and a single thought
can change our perspective. Think about it, something as small as a virus has changed this world.
Thing is we don’t usually acknowledge the changes until they evolve to our level of awareness, but make
no mistake, these changes, like a stroke or heart attack, where in progress long before we became aware
of them.

Hello,

To me, change is always occurring.

Some seem in small ways, while others seem to be in big ways.

At times may be noticed because it enters into awareness. Other times may be noticed because it has some sort of affect upon one. While other times it may be not so much what the world has been doing changed much, but ones perspective and awareness changes.

Certain patterns may be going on for a long time and one or a group has in a way fallen into following a set pattern. Even though some may point out the pattern and show ways to change, if not aware of and/or a willingness to recongnize them, will much change take place? Atleast for the individual and/or group.

Another thought is how willing and able is someone to be able to adjust to the changes?

Where is the guidance and strength found? Can anything be done about and if so what actions are needed? Just some thoughts on this.

Change happens, is fine to say, but what does it mean?

For me it is more of a continuance. For me, it is what do I desire to be continued and what needs to be adjusted.

It comes down to choice of sorts. Continue in fear or love? Towards myself, others, and the world in general.

Yes, can not always know, most times don't know what may come. Once aware of it, bring opportunity to go deeper and bring further awareness of what was, is and what can be.

Atleast how I come to look at it at the moment.

Thanks Jyotir; in your opinion, is that realistic on this Earth with humans?

People don't notice, or realize, how many species are dying out every year and becoming extinct,
especially small insects that humans may depend on. It is the smallest of things that make the
biggest impact, even and extremely large nuclear blast begins with the splitting of and atom.
The micro is reflected in the macro and vice versa.
