Would still really like to know if it is possible to experience love with an ego so strong I am controlling my own breath..and by this I truly mean my body doesn’t breathe on its own anymore, I believe this is a result of ego death/hitting by head really hard

I don't seem to control my breath, per se, as much as control relaxing all my muscles
in my whole abdomen and chest ...anything, shoulders...
so then the breath automatically goes deeper, slower and very peaceful.

That's just me.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.

In my view, any activity involving a doing with identity as source of its impetus takes us away from our innate being-ness, renewing moment to moment.

The same applies to breath. Where is our conscious thought or control or mindfulness of breath in our sleep state?

A resonation comes in even as I write this. This is our is-ness of being-ness, devoid of clutter. Rephrased, we may look at thought as an instrument that continuously needs to weigh and size, evaluate this vs that, whereas at the heart centre, there is a singularity, brought about by a fusion, a union of ‘opposing’ polarities. Love alone remains. We abide there transcending opposites.

Awareness, self-aware, that simply is, intuitively employs thought when needed, otherwise not. Devoid of thought, what remains? What else but our presence, God essence, bliss vibrance, exuding it’s ineffable fragrance.

I find this confusing. Letting go of control would mean your more at ease in the body with breathing, when one is holding in and on, often the breath can be shallow, laboured or in tune with what’s going on deeper inside you.

When your open and aware of your breath as a witness, you’ll feel like your the watcher of your breath. Rather than the one caught up in itself completely unaware of the simple act of breathing, which your body does white naturally when your aware of the breath in this way.

@ Just Be … there is much talk of being a witness, detached, nonchalant … yes, if as a reflex response as an ever present orientation, not as an imposition wherein we are here and wish to the there as far as our distilled attention flow is concerned.

The witness stance is what … what but pure heart in emptiness, which is then magnetised by rapture of bliss in fullness? In so being to become, we no longer employ will to do this or that, since we already are in the stream, to put it metaphorically. There is no one here.

We generally find that the breath goes smoothly and rhythmically (though it naturally changes from deep to shallow) until something starts coming up from inside. When that happens there is a tendency to react to how it feels and stop breathing, in which case, it's best to deliberately keep breathing normally, as this signals a cessation of the causal psychological reactivity. Thus, that which comes up from inside can release and allow light to fill the space now cleared.

It has nothing to do with ego-death, ego-death is nothing more than supercharged egoism. If you can say "I am" then your ego is alive and kicking. What you've read about the ego is frankly not even a decent fairy story.

Your breathing is controlled by your unconscious and it tells your muscles to move and by how much, in sync. So unless you're consciously controlling your muscles, nothing to with ego. What breathing exercises do is influence the unconscious which then controls the breathing.
