Last week, I stood in front of a statue and asked my friend who the statue represented. My friend didn't really know. The statue was of an important deity, that for the most part it seems, has been forgotten.
If you look at the two creation accounts, God[Elohim] is used in every verse of the first creation account. Today, it seems that name has almost no meaning whereas the name used in the second creation account use a different name.
For those who are curious, check the Masoretic Text which seems to be the basis for virtually all, if not, all Old Testament translations.
