Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Yes, that's a common belief.

Why are you assuming God is male or that God has feelings? Might God be a bit bigger than any definition you could ever fathom? Think about it. Why would God ever fit into anyone's mold? That would make God imaginable, and God isn't.

Hi and Welcome here!
Writers, for the simplicity of language, usually use 'He' when referring to God.
SO much easier than throughout their writings to always say He/She/It...

But speaking for myself ---knowing God, meeting God ...I came away with: "OH! Now I see why He was always called He."
There is such a Magnificence of Power that The Presence simply feeeeels masculine.
And as I always say to feminists that buck me ...HEY, If it was good enough for
Jesus to say Father and He ---it's ok with ME!

You wanna say Goddess or Divine Mother - go ahead.

As far as 'feelings'? God is nothing if not feeelings.
(From my personal, intimate, up-close and personal experiences.)

Years ago it looked to me that God shows a male face to this universe - and a female face into the paired universe.

It still looks that way from my humanness

Siren,
Miss Hepburn has given you beautiful answers. For the rest of your questions i'm quoting Ramakrishna Ji as he replied to someone who was saying that God can't incarnate as God is infinite:
"
Why all this bother about infinity? If I want to touch you, must I touch your entire body? If you want to bathe in the Ganges, must you touch the whole river from Hardwar down to the ocean?
"

Is it just me? Anyone else not know what a ''paired Universe'' is?
