First stanza is a quatrain with 8-6-8-6 syllable count in end rhyme abab +

Followed by 6-6-6 syllable count tercet, end rhyme ccc +

Concluded by an equal syllable count rhyming couplet using refrain (any length as of poet’s choice) beginning with the first word (or words) of the first line, as the last line of the poem

The refrain (last line of poem) is also the poem title

The animal sacrifice linked to ‘Jesus died for our sins, to cleanse our sins’ bit doesn’t resonate but overall, the message was meaningful. Also doesn’t explain, how man went astray … I mean, if we have in us no gross matter, how did man ‘fall’, so to speak? Some missing links …

In the end, we want what God wants. And Jesus did not die for our sins, that's a fundamentalist view, the speaker, he was just presenting the flaw in that ( I hope) as you picked up on. Jesus is the good news! Heaven and earth are re-uniting??, hell is going to be removed...

Animal sacrifice was a thing they did back then, many other religions did that, we are progressing...lol.

Anyway, it's not just about you, or me. We are talking about God's divine plan, no less.

The Christian forum I avoid, too much gnashing of teeth..

I prefer poetry and the gnashing of souls.

Peace and Light be with you, it's all good when it comes from the heart.
