I don’t know how you have the patience gal. It must of taken you months to get that done. But I guess quilting must be a kind of meditation hey. Probably a bit like I feel when I’m doing a painting. You become oblivious to what’s going on around you and time ceases to exist.

What is thread painting? Can you down load a picture of what you have done. Sounds really interesting.
I have yet to do thread painting to the effect of a finished piece, but you use your sewing machine and different color threads to create pictures. I want to post a link to examples but I'm not allowed to yet.

And thanks. It took a few months and this specific pattern tested my resolve many times (you have to be very accurate). It would have gone faster if I didn't have to work lol. It can be meditative, especially if you do a quilt pattern with repetitive blocks. Then you can chain stitch and sort of let the repetitive movements guide you along.

The green really made it pop, I am super satisfied with it. Imagine my surprise when I realize I had bought the last of a rare bit of fabric for it!

The quilt is being longarmed right now. I pay someone to do it for big projects (this one is 68" x 68") and they are using a jungle leaf pattern.

If anyone were to attempt quilting, I'd love to post some resources.
