I really like ambient music, and find that I get lost in the music of certain recordings, particularly ones which get built up into crescendos. It’s said that instrumental music is the purest art form because you can interpret it any way you like, and that it means different things to different people. For instance, I can listen to the EVA instrumental by Heights of Abraham, and be transported back to my final year as an undergraduate, whereas for someone else it will bring about an entirely different reaction.
