Update

sorry i just updating people

Last year i had a scare with older cat Tigger, she had major surgery in one of her back legs, her other back leg vet said is at risk

Unfortunately, this has led to her developing arthritis in her hips

it's causing me to jump from arthritis to losing her back legs, to her kidneys starting to play her up (my first cat had that happen, arthritis then kidney disease developed a few months later) then like first cat Beauty, i fear Tigger will then have her liver and kidneys fail on her

Oh boy, pets, I'm so sorry.
Well, I believe in Kitty Heaven. Is that terrible to say, I hope not.
It comforts me.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I went into town today and came across a black lab laying in a trolley. his name was Luna, he was 14 years old blind in one eye/
he was laying on a sheepskin blanket,
they didnt want to leave him at home if they were not there.
so they had a trolley made for him he was so happy in himself.
she said to me we dont want to put him to sleep while he is like this even though his kidneys were failing him.
I Could totally relate to that as i have had animals all my life.

Whisper. Get some CoQ10 for Tigger. CoQ10 helps the kidneys, liver and heart. 30mg twice daily in her food. Get the powder in the capsules because it's easier to put in her food. The gel caps tend to be a little too large for pilling and a pain to empty. CoQ10 will help keep her kidneys healthy. The powder is tasteless. I have all of my senior kitties on it to help keep their livers, kidneys, and hearts healthy.

For her arthritis, there is a product called Cosequin for animals that contain glucosamine, which is good for arthritis. Another thing that can help is some multi-collagen powder with Type 2 collagen. Type 2 collagen is responsible for cartilege rebuilding. I take a multi collagen powder for my knees. It has really helped.

I put her on some supplements but after a couple of weeks had to take her off of it cause its a put on the food one and she decided she no longer liked the stuff on her food, so back to the drawing board (although she is currently being bouncy, she's just been racing round the house playing "tag" with other cat Willow and a squeaky cat toy

You can give her the supplements separately by putting them in a small bowl or sauce cup and adding a little broth, water or cat milk and mix them so you can pull them in a dosing syringe. CoQ10 is tasteless, it would be a good idea to make sure she gets it every day as it will keep her kidneys, heart and liver healthy. Glad she's feeling better.
